Uploading SAP Best practices

Hi,

Is there a downtime when uploading SAP best practices on the ECC system? And also we are installing the BP add-on needed. No downtime is also needed for this right?

Also, is there a step-by-step guide on how to upload the BPs in the ERP system in coordination to Solution Manager?

Hi,

You can install BP as Add-On with SAINT transaction without having downtime.

You don't need to use SolMan, you can upload it manually into EPS/in directory and install it with SAINT. Regular data exchange to SLD will update SolMan.

We have installed the add-on. What we are to do now is download the related solution and installation data file. We don't know what file needs to be downloaded since there are many. Please see link below:

Hi Almira,

The related solution what you are talking about should be a specific support pack upgrade or applying solution via Snote.

Check the version in the system which you want to upgrade and check the N -1 with downtime.

Also if applying via snote can it be done.
