MDM SRM UI App login failed

Hi All,

While attempting to use the MDM UI App for configuration we get a Login Error for the selected Repository.

SAPNote 1650896 - SRM-MDM “Login Failed” error describes the exact issue however I don't believe we have an issue with version mismatch.

I know the Username/password is correct for the respository because I can load the Repository without issue in the console.

Hi,

All the MDM requirements are taken from the same DVD media source (51041070)

so I can't see how they would not be compatible with each other.

However, I went ahead and upgrade the components as follows:

MDM_CONNECTOR  710.700 SP11 (from SP07)
MDM_JAVA_API  710 SP11 (from SP07)

MDM_CONNECTOR  710.700.11 (from 710.700.7.1)
MDM_JAVA_API  710.11.203 (from 710.7.166)
SRM_MDM_CAT  7.02.11.4 (from 7.02.0.0)

MDM Console 710 SP11 (from SP07)

However, I still get the same issue.
Any help is much appreciated.

Hi

In my landscape we are using 7.4 portal and mdm connector 710711.

What is your portal version and in ur last message version u mentioned as 710700, it might be the issue.

Hi

If you are using portal 7.3 or higher u need to download mdm connector from smp I.e catalog ui for nw7.3

Mdm connector which we got in instation media wont work for new portal versions

Just replace mdm cinnector no need of other components upgrade, let me know in case of issues after tried this

Hi Chandra,

We are not using Portal in our solution.

However, I tried to deploy 710711 sp11 on top of 710700 sp11 but I get dependancy errors so not possible.

Hi

Can you please tell me which tool u r using to deploy mdm connector

In my case I have used telnet

I have undeployed alredy existing and deployed new nw710711 mdm connector by using telnet

hi,

the fix was to add the UI config role to the connecting user of each repository in the console.

Yes I can start the repository in the console so I know I have the correct user/password combination.

It seems to be issue with mdm connector

Please check sp07 release note.

I think mdm connector should be nw7.11
