RELR System Status

What will prevent a work order from being automatically released from a maintenance plan?  I have found that if you set the "system condition" to be a required field and not set it in the "Task List: Detail Screen" of the maintenance plan, then it will not release once IP30 batch is ran.  But what are the other items that would prevent this?  Here are my settings for "Order Control" in IMG.

Some possibilities:

- inability to generate a Settlement Rule (if mandatory for Release)

- absence of a mandatory field (in header, or operations, or purchasing data)

- material or capacity check, depending on the settings

- you may implement custom checks e.g. via IWO10002 or IWO10009

Also, the Release is controlled by the Order Type settings and, in EHP4 or higher, may be controlled on Maintenance Item level with a tickbox.

I believe our issue was that the "System Condition" field is a mandatory field in the work order and it was not being maintained in the maintenance plan.  Thanks for your help!

In addition to the above:

  • From memory you get a RELR status on inspection orders - I think its if there aren't any inspection characteristics assigned??
  • Mandatory partners not assigned
  • Credit limit checks (SM/CS only)
