Hi Experts

We have the below issue, any hints please.

One workflow template start event is inactive in prod system.

How can we track when and how it is deactivated ; any clue we can get from nonprod systems?

Any table that helps ...

thanks,

Ali

Hi Ali

To find out the changes to event linkages, go to transaction SWETYPV (make sure it is in change mode else the menu option will be disabled)

Got to menu Utilities-> Change Logs and you can see the change logs.

Also, it is important to check "Behavior Error Upon Error Feedback", for the event linkage in SWETYPV,  it should be either "Do not Change Linkage" or System Defaults. If System Defaults is set, then set system wide defaults in SWEQADM (set to Do not change linkage).

Even though other members have mentioned it already, It was important to iterate the above because if there are any errors in event triggering in PRD and the above are set to "Deactivate Linkage", you will not get anything in change logs.

Hi Ali,

We need to transport the " Event linkage entries " through customized request( Goto SWE2 , and add the required event in a TR )  from non production system to production/quality system . Then only start events will be active in target systems.

Hi,

If you are sure that at one point it was active then you can check SWEQADM tab Linkages with error to see which event has caused an error and why.

Also check if the workflow template was correctly transported and you might want to check the last time that the workflow was triggered to see if more things went in error at the time.

Hi,

As Rick said, event linkage has to be turned on. In addition to that, you can check same in SWE2 also. In SWE2, you can select option, do not deactivate event linkage after error. In other options, when workitem goes to error, event linkage will be turned off.

If you want to set this property for all Workflow, you can set it from SWEQADM.

Hello,

Look in SWEL, the event trace transaction. It has to be turned on with SWELS. If you don't have it turned on then that makes things harder. Look for the event you're interested in and see when it last worked. The one after that will have caused the problem.
