Batch field disappearing

Hi all,

I have an issue when creating a notification manually through QM01. For every notification type I enter a batch and hit enter and the batch field disappears. I checked the table QMEL and the value is not saving. The material is batch managed and the batch has inventory in it. I checked the field selection layouts and nothing is hidden. Has anyone ever seen this before? Linking the batch to the notification is crucial and I cannot figure out why it disappears. Thank you for your help.

Did you input the plant for material when you input a material?

As you said, 'hit enter and the batch disappears'... it means the material isn't managed as batch.

I think it could be occur if the material isn't managed as batch on specific plant.

Hi,

did you assign a plant for the batch in the customizing?

Also,  check in transaction SFAC for program SAPMQM00 and option "Notifications - Subscreens" that if batch field VIQMEL-CHARG is set as required.
