Incoming Call Issue in SAP BCM 7.0.6.100

Hi,

We are using SAP BCM 7.0.6.100 . I am able to make outgoing calls to any mobile or land line number from BCM using CDT.

While we are not able to make call to BCM i.e incoming call to BCM.

Have also check CD , CEM and sip logs but didnt find any entries related to incoming calls.

NEC SV 8100 is our EPBX system. Have referred RDS for config of BCM system configurator.

Kindly help if there are any settings which need to be maintained in BCM end or EPBX for incoming calls.

Regards

Vishal

Hi Vishal,

For incoming call you need to configure the Uniform Dial Plan (UDP) aka Route pattern , that will decide that the call to the number configured in the BCM will be routed via sip trunk /h.323 (which ever u have configured).

For this you need to have clearly define that number in the pattern . you can test whether the call is coming to the sip/h.323 trunk by following way

First try to call  BCM number from your NEC registered extension  , and if the call disconnects immediately , it means that call is not being routed to any destination or destination is not found ( normally signified by a busy tone): In that case you need to check again your trunk settings

Try to reset the trunk from both the sides and then try again . A trace in the NEC system will definetly help .

Also , have you configured the modules in the BCM as per the configuration guide , because for the incoming calls they play an important part.

Hi Rohit,

Thanks for your reply, We are not able to call BCM number from NEC registered extension. In NEC system we have only mentioned BCM ip address, Is there any default port number which we need to mention in NEC device for incoming calls.

Hi Vishal,

The Port that BCM and NEC  talk through is 5060 TCP/UDP

But first tell me one thing , do you have created a SIP trunk to the BCM from NEC or H.323.

Hi Rohit,

We have done SIP trunk setting in our NEC EPBX. Is there any specific configuration which we need to do at NEC end.

Hello.

Have you added at least one call out switching route connected with this NEC system? If you haven't done that, BCM doesn't accept any calls from your NEC.
