Warning Message AC435 in transaction code OAYO

Former Member

Hi Experts,

I have found in PRD Environmental, the transaction code OAYO this warning "Message AC435 - CoCd &1, area &2: inconsistent rounding entries were corrected". I'd like to know the effect.

Could I have any suggestions? and Could I open the PRD Environmental, run the transaction code OAYO and save?

Thank you for all your help.

Regards

Giampaolo

Check the SAP OSS note 810789.

Hi Dev,

thanks for your fast reply.

I saw the note, but my system is ECC 6.0.

I thought to save the activity directly in PRD. Before, I'd like to understand the effect. Do you have any idea?

Thanks a lot.

Hello Giampaolo,

Please review note 810789, but you do not need to implement the codings
since your support package is higher:
"....you must start Transaction OAYO once. When you do this, the
system automatically corrects all inconsistencies and message AC435
tells you about the affected company codes and areas. Note that you
then still have to save in the maintenance transaction, and only then
are the inconsistencies corrected on the database too. The system now
transports the changes with active change recording..."

Please also read the long text of error AC435 when you receive it in
OAYO as it gives you further information.

In relation to the rounding issue:

> Net book Value at year end
> Arithmetic rounding

> Net book Value at year end
F1
"Ind: Round net book value
This indicator specifies that the net book value of an asset should
be rounded to whole units of currency at the end of the fiscal year.
You specify the type of rounding in the same screen."

> Arithmetic rounding:
F1:
Using this indicator you specify that rounding should take place
according to the rule: tenths up to and including 4 are rounded
downward to the next whole number, starting with 5 they are rounded
upward to the next whole number.

This refers to the decimal places of a currency.

Example:   3.49  is rounded to 3
           3.50  is rounded to 4

thanks and regards

I'm curious why you don't pull up table T093B and take a screenshot, update the rounding settings, then go back to T093B and refresh it.  It will be obvious what the change is at that point.

Hi Nathan,

thanks for your quick reply.

Which is the problem if I leave this situation? and which is the effect if I do this change in PRD Environmental (in PRD there are some assets)?  What can I see the effect?

thank you for your help.

Kind Regards

Giampaolo

In this transaction system does the rounding off and you define the Rules .

Well you should n't be doing this directly firstly this is config . Some Transaction code behave different in each system Like this transaction code can;t be chnaged directly in test system or quality but you can change in PRD and DEV .

We had  same issue so we raise with basis team  to make this transaction unditiable in PRD as well and So that changes can go through only transport .

Same with other transaction code like OAYR . You can mantian directly in PRD but you should be as this  has huge impact .

Many Thanks
