Unable to Assign Carry For. Recv and Send for Budget type (Releasing Function)

Dear Expert,

While doing FMJ2 system displays an error Budget Type is not allowed for process Carry for Recv for Budget.

We are having Releasing concept, so separate budget type (REL) has been created for Releasing. But as per standard Carry for Recv and Carry for Send can not be assigned to released budget type. Can you please suggest how to proceed for Carryforward Commitment with Budget functionality ?

Regards,

Prad

Hi,

Are you using automatic release scenario? Please, consult OSS note 1859520 - Budget release in BCS

Thanks Eli.

We are not using Automatic release scenario. Is it mandatory  setting for Carryforward commitment budget process ?

Also as per notes I have tried with creating New document type  (Budget with automatic release) and with assigning Approved Budget Type in define Budget Entry document for commitment carry forward setting. Its allowing to carry forward to next year in test run.

Since we are having 2 process Approval and Released, what will be the impact in both budget in current year and next year ?

Let say Approved 1000 and Released 1000.

PO Commitment is 200

Yes, for carry-forward process it is essential, as stated by the note. Otherwise, your commitment cannot be carried-forward, as the budget which is supposed to cover it, won't be released.
