Repository could not be unarchived

Hi all,

I installed the MDM Server on a virtual machine (in which I also installed MS SQL Server) and the MDM Console on a different host.

As you can see from the picture I attached, everything worked fine until I tried to import in the database the WCEM MDM Catalog Repository (WEC30_MDMCATALOG_CONS.a2a file) using the MDM Console.

Reading the log it seems a permission-related problem...
I've already tried to change user/permission/host without any actual result... that error continues to pop up.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks all, I solved creating the repository before the unarchive operation.

It was something related the repository size. It was too small.

Now I'm stuck during the MDMGX step.

Could somebody tell me how to do the configurations for MDMGX transaction?

I need to extract the customizing from CRM into MDM using FTP.

SAPFTP rfc works properly, but MDMGX returns this error:

This is the configuration I used:

Can anyone help me to understand what must be filled in the field MDM Root?

My FTP path is: M:/DATA and the MDM repository is contained in the exact same folder...

Perhaps do I have to manually create the subdirectory displayed in the error?

Thanks in advance

Solved!

for future reference: repository is located under usr\sap\SID\MDS00\mdm\distributions\SAPMDDDBCI_MSQL

However, it is still not clear to me when I created those folders... lol

Hi Maurizio,

Make sure you have Admin Roles.

Secondly , Run a Check and Repair operation . Have a look at the Logs if something shows up .

Hi Maurizio,

Try Archiving with Admin Roles tagged to your ID , Also

Have a Look into the Data Base , There might be an issue with the DB as well.
