NW 7.4 Java installation - Could not establish connection to AS Java on 5nn04

Hello,

I am  installing a  new system  SAP netweaver 7.4 SR2 - SAP Process Orchestration :

- Kernel 7.42 UC 64bits AIX
- Java with virtual hostname

During the installation of the PAS, I have a error in phase deploying JAVA components with the below error:

[ LOG EXCEPTION ]  :: Could not establish connection to AS Java on [<virtualhostname>:51004].
Cannot establish connection with any of the available profiles: url=<virtualhostname>:51004 protocol=p4 (None);
Reason: com.sap.engine.services.rmi_p4.P4IOException: Cannot open connection to host: <IP> and port: 51004
Check if server is started, access point for the protocol is available, and IP/Host name is accessible on network..
Check if the host and port specified are correct and AS Java is up and running.
javax.naming.NamingException: Exception while trying to get InitialContext.

Hello

This is a known issue with SAP JVM 5.1 and kernel release 7.10 and 7.11. You may refer sap kba 1759825 - J2EE System stops with "exit code = 721035".

For NW 7.40 this seems to be a bug. You can raise an incident with SAP Support.

I tested the following parameter but I have the same problem again :

it's random issue, now the system is up and running (First start icm ko --> core file, second start it's ok ??? ) I think it's kernel error with my kernel level 7.42

You need to investigate the core file or check the same from errpt output.

Hi Fabion,

Follow the below steps:

1. ping <virtualhost>

paste the result

2. check whether java engine is running or not.

3. if running then fired the below command

    telnet <virtualhost> 51004
