Changing Storage Location From COGI

Hello,

Is there a way to change the storage location, from COGI.  I have a 102 in error because the wrong storage location was used. Is it possible to change the storage location from COGI and post the transaction?

Hi Ryan

It is possible to change the storage location for a record on COGI, but not for movement type 102. The system behavior is describe in detail on note 527361 - COGI: Entries cannot be processed:

Since Release 4.6, a document reversal is carried out in the case of a reversal. Thus the data of the material document of the confirmation is reversed, only the movement type is inversed. For this reason, changes to the goods movements, for example quantity, storage location or batch, is no longer allowed, they would not be taken into account in the document reversal anyway. Just like the goods movement overview is grayed out during the confirmation reversal (CO13, CORS, CN28, IW45), the detail view of COGI must also remain grayed out for these goods movements.

The easiest way to solve this error is post a stock transfer on MB1B or MIGO using movement type 311 and move the material to the correct storage location.
