"Publish" Plan in S&OP

Hello, once a plan is finalized and the Snapshot taken, for example, Consensus Dmd Plan, Operations Plan (supply plan that all functional teams will execute to), what are the options for "Publishing" this plan ?. Assume the relevant snapshot is taken. To elaborate, how will a business user from Planning know that the Operations Plan is finalized and "published" so that they can go ahead and use this plan for downstream planning activities (MPS and all the related logistics plng/execution functions).

Rgds,

Jayshree.

Hi Jayshree,

The S&OP constrained demand plan can be integrated with scheduling system through BODS (for on-premise) or HCI (for cloud).

Regarding communication of publishing the plan can be done through JAM to the relevant operational users.

Hope this helps.

For some customers, the snapshot becomes the "published" plan. This can be used for reporting within the IBP/S&OP application with real-time analytics and collaboration.  These snapshots are usually used for performance mgnt KPI (like MAPE) and comparison of the new upcoming plan.  This can happen all within IBP/S&OP. Also as mentioned the plans (including snapshots) can be exported to other systems like ECC and BI

Hello Aditya, thanks for the reply. Regarding the JAM communication, are you suggesting a Notification only to the relevant Groups ? Or also posting a copy of the final plan to the collaboration room ? Would be helpful to know what others who don't have full integration with sending the final plan back to ECC for MPS/MRP are handling this.

Many thks,

Hi Jayshree,

I suggest only notification to be published on JAM while plan can be seen in analytic dashboards/reports or planning views.

Alternative to full integration is taking an excel dump of S&OP constrained plan and uploading it manually into the relevant system.

Hope this helps.
