Dear all,

I've Quires on Inventory Behavior , This might be Functional or Standard Process Followed by Every One. I just wanted to know What are the reason

for  following scenario.

1) Inventory stock can be issued irrespective of Date

Ex: If I've received the 100 qty in 1st July and again 100 in 10th July, My total qty is 200 as on date,

But , if I use this item for Production Issue in 5th July and qty is 150  it is allowing me to issue. In general the stock is 100 between 1 to 10.

is this is the standard process ?

Kindly Help me to know inventory Behavior.

I'am beginner in SAP Business One Implementation , Answer may Help me to understand the  things

Thanks & Regards

M G

Hi,

Please advice your valuation method. If quantity is 100 on 1st  July, then how did you issue 150 on 5th July?

Thanks & Regards,

Hi

I am using 'Moving Average' as my Valuation Method.

I'am testing for  back dated entries (One of our customer has the scenario like this).

Thanks and Regards

Hi M G,

as long as you allow negative stock in your system, the application will not stop you from issuing stock you don't have registered.

Please have a look at the How to Guide:

How to set up & manage Perpetual Inventory System in SAP Business One.

All the best,
