Time dimension properties

We are in the process of working on drill through in our development environment. In order to get this to work we had to set up an additional property in the time dimension that matches the time format in ECC. Below is a screen shot of how we have set this up. We are curious if this new property could be causing us problems or if it is set up correctly. Since this change has been made we are no longer able to run data manager packages and processing other dimensions is getting hung up. We are using BPC 10 NW.

Hi Michelle,

Adding new properties to TIME dimension can't do any harm to other things.... Please, describe the issues in details!

Hey Vadim,

Thank you for your response. When we were setting up BPC we were told that the time dimension was the most sensitive dimension and we shouldnt make changes here. Glad you are saying that adding a property isn't what is causing our problem.

Current Problems we are having

1. When we Run a package in the Data Manager. We receive the message saying the package is being run. Yet when we go to the View Status, we are not seeing that the package is running.

2. When we add a new dimension member and hit save and process, the dimension processing continues to "spin" and is not processing the dimension. We have had to run UJA_REFRESH_DIM_CACHE to process and by doing this it doesnt capture the new member that was being added.

Hope this detail helps.

Michelle
