Hi
I'm looking at setting up archiving for CRM and ECC and was wondering if the SAP standard solution can do this and keep the data synchronized.
As we have connected CRM and ECC systems the master data is replicated and the same data would need archiving in both systems otherwise it will cause integrity issues.
I'm also looking at archiving transactional data but I'm hoping that doing this in each system as a standalone should be ok as the transactional data isn't replicated across the two SAP systems.
Any pointers on the best way to do this and if it's even possible with SAP standard routines would be appreciated.
Thanks
Chris
Hi Chirs,
Do you want to archive only the transitional data? If yes, then you need to look into the customizing options such as:
1. Data archiving under Architecture and Technology
2. Define residence times - under basic settings - Transaction.
Also look into the below link which may be useful.
Archiving of Business Transactions - SAP Library
Data Archiving in SAP CRM - SAP Library
Hope this will address your query.
