Change KM Bookmark Links

Dear experts,

I am trying to change the links of the KM Bookmark's links of the portal users.

Those bookmaks are stored in the BIUSERHOME of every user in the portal.

I you apply note 1454612 you can use the KM report to change the path of the KM bookmarks, but it doesn't let you change the path directly.

Do you know if there is a way to change the link value directly?

Ok in relation to your query you mentioned the following:

• You are trying to change the links of the KM Bookmark's links of the portal users. These bookmaks are stored in the BIUSERHOME of every user in the portal. By applying note 1454612 you can use the KM report to change the path of the KM bookmarks, but it doesn't let you change the path directly.

The first point to highlight here is that SAP Note: 1454612 is key here in terms of a high level overview analysis perspective so it's good to see that you have already referenced this.

Now regarding this particular scenario you should be able to make the required changes to the entries of the 'Portal Favorites iView' by through the Organize Entries command.

In more simple terms to change the URL or Bookmark, just delete the existing entry and create a new one. Also as the Portal Favorites are user specific, the URL's need to be changed for each and every user.

For test purposes these changes can also be made using the PCD tool Inspector

I would assume Ivan is not talking about manually changing of the link targets, I would use the API.

Lawrence, actually I am talking about changing manually the link target. Is it posible with the API or the PCD inspector?

Deleting the current link is not an option.

API should be possible, e.g. its an typical "after upgrade" scenario, I can remember such works for a customer of my. I hav no idea how the PCD inspector could help on this, as far I got it you are trying some KM resources and not PCD objects?

We used the Java native stuff like com.sap.portal.favorites, but you can probably also go with EPCM like Troy wrote
