Change in profitceter in already posted FI document.

Hi Experts,

Seeking help at the earliest. pls help .

Yesterday uploaded the cut over activity in production server.

Unfortunately i have given the wrong profit center. I have posted almost 500 documents using new gl fuctionality.

How to give the correct profit center in posted FI documents. same profit center needs to replaced in all FI documents.

Dear Manoj,

Unfortunately, once you posted a document in GL you will not be able to change profit center and cost center, fields which will feed CO.

There is only one way to do it: F.80 (mass reversal). There will be many filters you will be able to use, all of them reffering to BKPF table (header of document). So, firstly do your filter and then run this transaction. You can also run it in test first.

After all you can post your documents with the right profit center.

if you are using the New GL Profit Center Accounting, there is no way in standard to change the account assignment on an already posted document.

The only thing you can do to reverse the incorrect postings and make a new one with the correct profit center assignment.

User data is always the responsibility of the users. Consultants are NOT expected to prepare the data. But, most of the consultants will make the mistakes by preparing the data on their own.

Now, you have no option, reverse all the documents by using F.80 (be cautious what documents you are reversing). These are irreversible.

Now, re-load with correct data. Ask user to give the data, it is not the consultants responsibility.

You will have to do re-posting. Though, there are some tools to perform the correction, they are not standard and in order to apply them, you have to know exactly the tables and logic behind the postings.

HI...

U Cannot change the profit centre for the posted document,

only u have to transfer the amount from one profit centre to another profit centre.

Use T.Code 9KE0  make a transfer from one profit center to another profit center.

Most often Profit Center field is not available for making new updates in change mode (tcode FB02). I would suggest a mass reversal of all the 500 documents & reloading with changed data.
