PI Channels start/stop buttons are greyed out

hi friends,

I could not able to control channels as all buttons start/stop/automatic control are greyed out.

even rwb -mdt is giving an error.

"error: error in compiling [/mdt/channelmonitorservlet] in application [sap.com/com.sap.xi.mdt2].

we have installed new PI7.3 system.(abap+java). can you please help me if any body have faced this issue.

Please check Mark's reply in below discussion

The solution to this error is documented in note 1902810 Disabled buttons for channel in Administrative Error status. You can workaround this by using the old RWB functionality, as you have already found.

Hi,

another suggestion: have you checked with your basis team if you have the authorization to use them? Maybe your PI user does not have the right roles to start and stop channels.

i have checked NWA, and RWB both are not working, even basis also could not able to find the solution.

i am closing this thread, i tried all the ways,i will let all  know if i found some solution.

Hello Allamudi ,

Ask your basis team to apply the latest patch for SOA MONITORS as per the  OSS 1902810.

This should resolve your issue

after checking with basis team, I came to know that they have take dump s/w of existing system and rebuilt the new system with the same configuration. They have completed all Post installation steps.

but still above mentioned problem there.

Have you execute the post installation steps?

There is configuration scenario which can be executed from NWA to complete the steps.

yes we executed Configuration wizard in NWA.

You should be able to see additional information about this error under NWA logs.

You can apply the filter with the username who tried accessing this page(/mdt/channelmonitoringservlet).

Can you check and share that error log?

Also may be try restarting the system to see if that helps..
