EWS - Error when loading the XML schedule

Former Member

Hi everyone,

I'm facing an issue and need some help;

First things first - the versions:

- Financial Consolidation 10.0 SP14

- MS Excel 2010

- IE 8. (First I was on IE 10, and downgraded to see if that was the issue - the answer seems to be NO!)

I have checked configurations via EWSAudit and it seemed OK for both IE versions.

Then I connect to FC vie web interface and try to open a schedule inside a package. (By the way I have done the authorization and preferences steps.)

With both IE 10 and IE 8 it gives the following error:

Then when I click OK, excel opens - including FC-EWS ribbon but as an empty sheet:

And then as I click anywhere on the white sheet excel stops working:

I have followed every configuration step that I could find. Any ideas?

Hello,

Please provide a screen shot of the verbs configurations for the handler mapping.

I see the DM addin in your Excel so this is not a clever question, but can you confirm you are using the 32  bits MS Office 2010.

Can you also show a screen shot of the add and remove features of Office 2010 when you click on modify into your programs and features. VBA for applications should be installed.

I know that at some points some dlls were missing making the EWS not working in V10 but it was in SP10 or something.

Oh ! And also, can you provide a log of the ctserver when you are trying to use EWS.

Matthieu

Hi Mehmet,

For IIS7:

-Select The FC site  and double-click the Handler Mappings icon.

-In the Actions pane, click Add Script Map.

-In the Request Path field, enter the *.xls extension.

-In the Executable field, select the C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\aspnet_isapi.dll file.

-Enter a name and click Request Restrictions.

-In the Mapping tab, do not select anything.

-In the Verbs tab, select the One of the following verbs option, and enter POST.

-In the Access tab, select the Script option.

-Click OK.

-The Add Script Map message appears, asking you if you want to allow this ISAPI extension.

-Click Yes.

-Select the FC site and double-click the MIME Types icon.

-The MIME Type window opens.

-In the Actions pane, click Add.

-The Add MIME Type dialog box opens.

-In the file name extension field, add the .xls extension.

-In the MIME type field, enter the following: application/vnd.ms-excel.

-Click OK.

-Repeat the same operation for the file extensions “xlam” and “xll”

Hi,

As mentioned in the installation guide for FC 10: “

SAP BusinessObjects Financial Consolidation Excel Web
Schedules will not work properly if you do not select these configuration
options”

You can refer to the section 5.2.3 “Deploying the SAP BusinessObjects Financial Consolidation Web site under Windows 2008” for more details.

Hi,

I've checked these configurations and the installation guide; all of them are already set correctly.

Any other suggestions?
