Hi Experts,
Currently I am using SPM 2.1 system (BW 7.01), planning to go with fresh implementation SPM 3.0 on HANA data base (BW 7.40).
Custom changes are moved via transport mechanism from BW 7.01 to BW 7.40 hence both system will be connected.
Then how to transport group and private folders reports from SPM 2.1 to 3.0 via transport mechanism ?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks,
Srinivas.
Hi Srinivas,
Please read the below notes and check the upgrade master guide.
1734407 - Spend 2.1 to 3.0 Upgrade
1995246 - SPM 2.1 to 3.0 Migration OPM_PS_MIGRATE_30 parameters
SPM Upgrade Master Guide http://help.sap.com/bospm
There is a program that will migrate user content from 2.1 to 3.0 - OPM_PS_MIGRATE_30
Please note that any custom detail reports will not be migrated and will need to be recreated in SPM 3.0. This is a fairly simple task and should not take too long.
Kind regards,
Michael

Thanks Michael for the information.
As you mentioned notes will be used to upgrade current system from SPM 2.1 to 3.0 version.
Here my scenario is different :
Currently system "A" having SPM 2.1 system ( BW 7.01 )
Planning to go completely new system "B" with SPM 3.0 ( BW 7.4 on Hana)
I want transport Group and Private folders reports from SPM 2.1 to 3.0 (A--> B) using transport mechanism ?
Thanks,
Srinivas
Hi Srinivas
You have SPM3.0 and SPM2.1 in different landscape.
Hence you can not get the user created content from SPM2.1 to SPM3.0 via transport.
You can get only using ,migration program but with little bit of modification in that program
OPM_PS_MIGRATE_30.
You need to have a remate call path between SPM2.1 and SPM3.0 system.
Could you please let me know your system mapping as in from which system (dev /prod/test )you want to migrate?
Thanks & Regards
Ekta
