Clarification on Migration of project.

Dear Experts,

Currently we are using SAP Netweaver Composite environment 7.1 version.  also we have deployed certain applications in CE portal 7.1.

Applicattions were developed by using JAVA Spring framework. Data were fetched from SAP ECC system through RFC.

Through Spring IDE applications are developed and deployed in Hudson server. we took that deployed .ear file and the same .ear file was deployed in SAP CE server.

Now we are going to upgrade the server to 7.3 / 7.4 as per the client requirement. whether the same .ear file we can deploy into the 7.3/7.4 server or we need to customize code as per the version

Hi Dharmaraj,

The major infrastructure change done by SAP was between the versions 7.0 to 7.1 therefore 7.3/7.4 versions are pretty similar when considering the infrastructure deployment and runtime mechanisms of the versions.

You will of course need to check this on a test system first but it will probably work.
