MemberSet Property under EVDRE Expansion

Hello Experts,

We are using BPC 7.5 M sp04, I am trying to input hard coded members in MemberSet property under Expansion section of EVDRE template, When I enter a long string it shows the "######################" in MemberSet property.

My question is Is there any length limit for MemberSet property?

Please Advice.

Hi Rohit,

I'm not aware of any limit, other than maybe Excel's limit on the maximum number of characters in a cell (32,767).  However, if I have a large number of members, I will usually create a column of the member IDs, then use the EVRNG() function to reference.  It makes working with the member IDs much easier.

Hi Rohit,

there aren't limits for memberset, just with excel 2003 the limits is 1024 chars but the cause is excel not bpc.
