    Hello Guys,

I have a situation where I try to connect from Data Services Client 32bit on Windows for BODS BI4.0 SP3, from a specific machine, I am getting this unusual error

This  machine has oracle 32bit client.  TNS ping is successful, but only when I try to connect to repository from the client, we get this error message.

Please assist.

Thank you, Rahul

Hi Raul,

The Designer and oracle client need installer same version.

Try copy oci*.dll of oracle client and copy for the "$SAP BusinessObjects\Data Services\bin"

Thank's,

Renan Ceguinato.

Rahul,

Oracle client is 32bit or 64 bit?

If 64 bit, remove, restart desktop machine, and install oracle client 32 bit.

Rahul,

Verify ORACLE_HOME/TNS_ADMIN parameters are configured also parameter Path.

Remember that entry path has content "C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\Data Services\bin" .

Hi Renan,

Verified the ORACLE_HOME as well as TNS_ADMIN..both are fine...also added the Data services path to PATH and restarted the system. But error still exists

Rahul,

Try change the Logon settings of the Data Services Windows - Service to "Local account".

Thank you; however, I dont see the way to do it.

Could you please let me know where do I find the ''Logon Settings'' of the Data Services Windows,  as am new to Data Services.

I though tried to see it in the services of Windows OS (services.msc) but I didnt find any service w.r.t. Data Servicex.

Please assist.  Thank you in advance.

Is your Database up and running? Are you able to login to Oracle?

yes, I am.  Everything else works just fine and this is specific to a single machine.

On other machines it works fine.  Clueless, at this moment
