Custom approval process for task

Good day!

We have a requirement to create some approval process (workflow) for a task. For example a manager creates a new task to buy something and

it must be approved. 

As I can see there are only three types of business documents (campaign, opportunities, sales quote) which are relevant to approval processes.

How can I achive my task? Custom development?

At this point the multi-step approval workflow feature is enabled for the main transactional objects of Tickets, Opportunities, Quotes (Sales and Service), and Campaigns. When you create a custom object, you can also activate the same workflow feature in SDK for the custom object too.
