Text with Email-notification to customer after saving via VA01?

Dear all,

I would be pleased to get your help.

I want to send an email-notification to the customer after saving his sales order via VA01.

The email-notification should contain the sales order number and text e.g.: “Thank you for your order”.

Text depends on order type.

The only way how I could handle that is using the output configurations of sales order itself.

In output I have medium external send option. The output will be send as mail attachment to the customer.

But I would need the text directly in the mail – not as attachment.

Any ideas how to do that?

thank you very much.

I've followed your advice and tested it.

But unfortunately there is still no text in the email.

Nearby: when clicking the text icon, I've noticed the Headline "Change Texts for internal mail".

Perhaps this is relly just for internal mails.

Hi,

if its not working with the "easy" version, you can create your own driverprogramm  using CL_BCS Class and devine what is header and what is attachment.

id suggest to use a formular as well because you never know what kind of "formated" Text you want to use in the near future. The actual technology doesnt realy matter - though adobe forms is the newest.

Dear Mr. Thomas Ringelstetter,

You have to maintain the text in output determination.

Select your output type - double click on 'mail title and texts' - there you can find the text icon.

Apart, please take basis help while testing the scenario..
