Delivery cost in asset PO

Hi all,

i am not able to post delivery cost of Asset PO in MIRO. Generally in posting the GR, the Freight acct. get debit and is nullified while posting Invoice with Freight clearing account. However in Asset PO at the time of GR no acct. doc. gets generated and hence no posting is made to Freight acct. Due to which no entry is shown for Invoice against Del cost. Now how to solve the problem?

Regards,

Prashant

As per SAP, We can not have delivery cost if the PO has multiple account assignment.

Hi,

If the planned delivery costs (using conditions on the PO) cannot be used then you may have to consider using the Unplanned delivery costs in MIRO.

Hi All,

There is certain change in Scenario. The system gives delivery costs for asset in MIRO. However if PO is with multiple account assignment then at the time of PO creation system gives message " No delivery costs can be posted in case of multiple account assignment". message no. 6356. In this case how to handle the Planned Delivery costs.

Hi Steve

But what will happen to the delivery cost which has been entered as Condition with posting key assigned to it for determining the G/L acct.

This was not added to my Material Cost also.

Hi,

If you have added freight conditions to the PO then they will be applied, if not at GR stage they will be available at MIRO stage. (I am guessing that the PO was set to a non-valuated GR and so the costs are only posted at MIRO stage).

Have you tried posting the delivery costs at MIRO stage with reference to the PO (by changing the "goods/service items" to "Planned delivery costs" on the first screen of MIRO)?

My suggestion only works if you use unplanned costs INSTEAD of freight conditions.

Hi,

If you are saying that no accounting document is posted at GR stage (for whatever reason), then could you post the delivery costs at MIRO stage using the "unplanned delivery costs" function? "Unpl. del. csts." field on the details tab in MIRO?
