Deletion of Process variant in a meta chain failed due to DSO could not be locked

Hi,

Its a full load data flow, so i am deleting data from DSO and cube.In process chain, I am facing issue in delete from target contents variant. PC fails at this step of deleting data from DSO.

But when load data manually, its successful. Please suggest solution for this.

I am working on SAP BW 7.4 system. The flow is based on view based generic extactor.

Hello Rajiv,

It looks like some other program/chain is accessing your DSO. Check lock entries in sm12 also check necessary authorizations.

Hi Rajiv,

As per the error messgae shown, It clearly shows that it is a lock Issue. Please check into the system if some load is being loaded from this target . Or this being used in some other process chains or in manual jobs. Check RSMO, SM37 & SM12 to find out the lock.

You may get more details about failures.

that will be helpful to find where the issues is lied.

During your load is any other loads are triggered which are pulling or loading into same targets.

in such cases lock kind of issue will raise.

is this process occurred yesterday only or every day?

if its happens yesterday only then you check any special chain was triggered at the same time?

Hi Rajiv,

Please check if there any other operations being done on the same target. Please check the locks in Sm12.

If some other process chain is running Which includes rhe smae target you can think about rescheduling your chain to a sometime later so as to avoid the lock on a daily basis.
