SAP BPC MS 10 : Unable to retrieve data on Time id INP

Dear Experts,

We are implementing SAP BPC MS 10. In Time Dimension, we have created certain members to post adjustments, like 2013.INP, etc., and have posted data on the same.

When we create a report with 2013.INP in the context we can see the data that was posted but when we try to retrieve the same data through a formula we are unable to do so. The formula works fine for all members of the Time dimension expect for XXXX.INP.

Request you to advice.

Regards,

Rajat

Hi Rajat,

could you try to create a hierarchy (YEAR - QUARTER - MONTH) for your .INP members?

Then the Level for 2013.INP will be a month.

I had a similar issue and I've discovered that the measures (Periodic and YTD) were not created on the cube.

Hope it can help you.

Best regards

Hello Andrea,

Thank you for the response.

I checked, measures are created on the cube as we are able to see the data when we create a report. It is only when we try to retrieve through EPMRetrieveData that we are unable to see the data.

Please advice if you could see the data in the report when you faced the issue?

2013.INP rolls up to parent  = 2013.TOTAL. we would post all adjustments for the year in 2013.INP at an annual level.

Hi Rajat,

unfortunately, our environment is still not reliable.

We have similar issues then do not take it as a reference.

However it was not possible retrieve data through the EPMRetrieveData because the measures for the periods not in hierarchy were not created.

How many EPM formula do you have in your sheet?

Have you tried to copy the same value in a different period (e.g. 2014.OCT) and check if the issue is still there?

Could you please share your time dimension?

Hi Andrea,

We have more than >40 EPMRetrieveData formulas on the sheet.

Yes, we tried copying the same value to a different period and it works.

Sending you our Time dimension.

Thank you.

Hi Rajat,

the member 2015.INP is a descendant of 2015.TOTAL so it should have the same behaviour of 2015.JAN, 2015.FEB... as you can see the property LEVEL is different.

Could you try to change the property LEVEL for those members from YEAR to MONTH?

Hope it can fix your issue.

Hello Noura,

Please find below the retrieval formula:

=EPMRetrieveData("CONSO_FX","05E0301","AuditTrail:Other","Actual_Adj","MSIL","F_Adj","ALL_RELPAR","RptCurrency:LC","S_None","2014.MAR","YTD")
