Can we add new/existing connections to an IDT universe dynamically using SDK?

I am trying to add a connection to an existing universe.

Is this possible to do?

Please specify the BO product version and type of universe(.unv/.unx)

I am using  BI 4.1 SP3 version.

And the universe is of type UNX (IDT based universe)

Possible, using the Semantic layer Java SDKs.
