Creating Prompts In HANA

Hi Experts,

   Can any one let me know what difference will it make if we create a prompt in Universe with rather than creating in HANA .Since the SQL generated by a Web i report will have the select statement to the HANA view directly.What will be the performance impact on the same

Hi Vinodh,

Prompt in universe will help user input and this will be "converted" in where clause that will reach HANA.

What you are comparing to in HANA?

As far as I remember there's no exactly prompt there and WebI don't read the metadata info from HANA (or it reads be now?)
