Hi Gurus,
Is there any way to restrict the requisitioner for not to create a shopping cart with value (say 10000$) in SAP SRM.. If yes how can we do that?
Will the attribute "User Budget" in "PO Value Limit" helps in this case????
Thanks in advance
This depends, do you want a user simply not to be able to create any documents above a value, or do you wish that documents exceeding a certain value will goto approval?
You can use various different means of achieving this, from the SU01 personalization setting of BBP_SPENDING_LIMIT to setting up workflows which will handle this type of restriction, the choice is yours to make.

Jason

A requisitioner is not allowed to create a shopping cart that exceeds a limit of 10000.This can be limited by user settings in SU01, by the role mentioned in Jason's reply.
The user budget will be a budget for which the user will be allowed to shop, regardless of approval. The PO value limit is on PO level, so that is later in this stage, after the shopping cart is transferred to po('s). Both of these items do not seem to be a solution to the question you portrayed. I would set it to settings in the GUI for the user, in SU01.

Thank you C. Leetouwer-de Boer and Jason for the reply..
I have another query relating this, in org structure --> Extended Attributes tab we have "PO Value Limit" attribute...
"Approval Limit"--> User will be permitted to approve the PO with <= value mentioned in this field
Can you explain... "Output Limit" and "Budget" fields... with this Budget field cant we restrict the user to create a SC ??
Is this option only for PO not for SC???
Thanks in advance
