Chart book header and footer tab missing

Hi experts,

We are currently using Nakisa 4.0 SP1 for OrgChat and Org Modeler, The header and footer tab is missing while generating the chat book in both Org chart and Org Modeler. Even we have created following text files with a text "true" in suggested location by SAP. But it did not work.

CB_QUICK_ENABLE_HEADER_FOOTER.txt
CB_QUICK_ENABLE_INDEX.txt

Any suggestions pls.

Regards,

SUBBA

Subba.

FYI - This thread is a particularly good starting point for ChartBook's Quick Mode -

I would suggest that you also try setting CB_FORCED_QUICK_MODE.TXT in SettingsResources to a value of False.  This should allow you to switch out of Quick Mode and see the other tabs/options.

Stephen.

Hi Subba.

Have you now managed to resolve your ChartBook issue?

Hi Stephen,

Apologies for the delayed response.

As u suggested we have changed the value from True to False in the below file

CB_FORCED_QUICK_MODE.TXT

But after publishing the build the value automatically changed to “true” by the system. (not “true”).

And it is still showing quick mode in chart book.

Subba.

Are you applying the settings changes in the correct place and loading them in at the correct time?  Just in case here's what I think you should be doing..

Add the TXT files into the .delta file structure for your configuration build using a file manager or FTP client.

e.g. for a build called "ACME01" on a Linux box the full directory path might look something like this:

/usr/sap/DEV/J00/j2ee/cluster/apps/Nakisa/OrgChart/servlet_jsp/OrgChart/root/.system/Admin_Config/__000__ACME01/.delta/Root/SettingsResources/

Only once the files are in place should you then login to AdminConsole, load in your updated build and publish it.

After that close your browser windows and login afresh to check ChartBook in the front end.

...if you have been applying them in what looks like the correct location (and at the right time - i.e. before loading the build to publish), I'd suggest repeating the process to confirm as the value should not be getting overwritten.

Stephen.

Stephen,

Thank you for the support.

This issue has been resolved. we have done the following steps.

  1. Taken back of latest build in both OC and OM.
  2. Exported build into the desktop from admin console
  3. Extracted the zip file(build) to a folder in desktop.

In Org Chart

4.     Below files we have created with the value “true”

CB_QUICK_ENABLE_HEADER_FOOTER.txt
CB_QUICK_ENABLE_INDEX.txt

5.     After the changes in the folder, zip the folder and import in admin console of OC, Publish and save.

In OrgModeler

6.     Below files are already available, we just changed the value false to true.

CB_QUICK_ENABLE_HEADER_FOOTER.txt
CB_QUICK_ENABLE_INDEX.txt

7.     After the changes in the folder, zip the folder and import in admin console of OM, Publish and save.

Now Chat book header and footer tab is displaying in both OrgChat an OrgModeler.

Below are the screenshots

OC

OM
