Crystal Reports 2011 does not recognize Salesforce.com with Java 8 update

We installed Java 8 on one of our computers and now Crystal Reports 2011 will not recognize the Salesforce.com connection. Has anyone else encountered this? All of the other office computers have Java Version 7.

I've tested Crystal Reports 2011 SP09 (14.0.9.1345 RTM)

with

Java version 8 Update 25 installed on Windows Server 2008 R2 Ent SP1 64 bit

SFDC connectivity works fine.

What is the Java Update level on your machine?

What is the version number of Crystal Reports 2011?

When you install Java 8 on the machine, it prompts you with the following message:

Once I applied the SP10 update and then installed Java 8, it is working OK now. My first attempt to upload the service pack just had not completed successfully.
