CHECK DB error SXPG_COMMAND_EXECUTE (program_start_error) in DB13

Hi All,

I am getting the above error in DB13. And our customer using some third party tool to take backup.

I have checked the in RFC & Profiles, I didn't find the solution.

Even BRTOOLS is not executing in our server. Based on this DBA:CHECKDB background job is failed.

Please share your valuable thread to resolve this error.

Hi,

I assume your system is on cluster,

if yes then please follow the below steps

1. Login to your CI node go to SM59

check TCP/IP connection click on SAPXPG_DBDEST_<hostname of DB node>

check sap gateway entry it must contain correct hostname and gateway service.
