How to restrict users from changing form settings?

Dear Experts,

Our accounts users here always need to change the form settings of AP Credit Note as one of the column always missing from their form layout. How to set the form settings to be default so that users no need to manually go to form settings to call the column out? Is it possible that if other user ID has changed the form settings of AP Credit Note will change the settings of the accounts users? How to restrict other users from changing the form settings of AP Credit Note instead of accounts users?

If I set other user's authorisation to No authorisation under General > Document Settings, it will affect those users who really need to change the form settings of other documents. How to restrict the Form Settings Options according to user ID?

Thanks.

Best Regards,

Leng

Hi Naga,

Sorry for late reply.

What is the difference between using Additional Authorisation and set user's authorisation to No authorisation under General > Document Settings?

To me, they are the same.

Let me explain further on what I am trying to implement:

User A can edit the form settings of other documents in SBO but not AP Invoice & AP Credit Note

User B can edit the form settings of all the documents & forms in SBO

User C can only edit the form settings of AP Invoice & Credit Note.

Can that be done in SBO 8.82?

Thanks & BR,

Leng

Hello Dear,

I think this is not possible in SAP B1. Plz make sure that this user not having authorization to Documnet setting.

Hi Sandesh,

If that's the case then I can only set no authorization on Document Setting for those users who are not allow to change the form settings.

Thanks & BR,

Hi Hui,

If you read SAP note first line from solution, you can understand why we need additional authorization.

I am thinking of to explain with an example. Let me know if there is problem.

Thanks & Regards,
