Hi Everyone,
Iam doing EH7 Upgrade in the sysem where i have 2 CPU cores and 16 GB of RAM available. i went through some notes and i could not find an exact calculation for R3trans , R3load and and Parallel Phases .
Notes read: 1127194, 1616401
Curent with Standard confiuration. below is the values i can see
ABAP process (UPTIME) 3
ABAP Process (Downtime) 6
SQL Process (UPTIME) 3
SQL Process (DOWNTIME) 6
R3trans Process (Uptime) 3
R3Trans Process (DDOWNTIME) 6
R3Load (Uptime) 8
R3load (Downtime) 40
Parallel Phases (Uptime) 3
Parallel Phases 9Downtime) 3
can someone help me calculate the Uptime value?
Thanks,
ASK
although my present configuration is poor, I wil get multiple CPU cores dynamically assigned so to utilise that, I wish to increase the r3trans

TThanks sriram.
i Am currently in mass table activation phase . What if I want to increase the r3trans value before I get in to shadow_import_inc phase. Can you please letme know the exact file where I can increase the value which was already set during configuration phase? If I set the new value during the runtime..will the system be able to accept and run properly?
thanks,
ask
With that system configuration I would keep the default values as you are accommodating 2 systems (primary and shadow) for some time during the upgrade.
Cheers

Hi Ask,
You can keep the default value as shown by the SUM.
As your cpu core as per the requiremnt.
Both the real and shadow system will be using the same host , and on increasing the value it may hamper the performance of the system
