Hi guys,
I'm new to SAP but trying to learn as much as I can. Two individuals on my team received this error when entering a model/serial number to confirm an account in CRM webui. This just started happening so I'm trying to find the root cause. Any ideas?
Hi Kash
follow below steps
1. Identify a business role through which you don't get such error message
2. Copy the authorization profile to the users who are getting above error
This would resolve the issue.

Thanks for the help guys, was able to resolve the issue. I found out they were actually new to the team so they didn't have that access.

Hi Kash,
A way I really found very easy to use in the case of authorization issues is to logon to the WebUI and to the SAPGUI at the same time, then to run the step(s) with the authorization issue and straight after to use SU53, it will list in red the object that does not have the authorization.
Best regards - Christophe

Hi Kash Kash,
1. You can try to use Authorization trace - Transaction ST01 to find more information about the error.
You can find a guide here: Authorization Trace in transaction ST01 - Product Lifecycle Management - SCN Wiki
2. Check note 1259940 and possible implementation of BAdI BADI_CRM_BP_UIU_AUTHORITY.
