How to prevent users from changing routings?

Hi,

I am wondering if it's possible to block the ability to change specific routings? We have a group of materials where we are updating the routings and we don't want people changing them after the update.

Can we restrict users from editing routings for certain materials? Can we restrict by the specific user as well as the material?

Please let me know what our options are - we are running ECC6. I am specifically referring to transaction CA02 - Change Routing.

Hi Nick

I suggest you to control the routing changes using a change number.

Just make the field PLKOD-AENNR mandatory for changing a routing on the field selection customizing and the user will need to have change number to make any changes to a routing (see ).

Change numbers are created on transaction CC01, therefore, only authorized users will have access to this transaction.

If you want to Restrict for particular user then with defining customized role in PFCG with Controlling CA02 access and Assign same Role to User master record.
