Custom portal theme appearing different in 7.0 and 7.4 portals

Hi Experts,

We are looking to upgrade our portal from NW7.0 to NW7.4.

Currently we have applied NW7.4 on the Sandbox portal, we have transported a custom theme from the 7.0 portal to the 7.4 portal.

When users who are assigned this custom theme logon to the 7.4 portal, they are able to see all the custom look and feel elements in the custom theme like custom branding image in masthead etc the same way as they appear in the 7.0 portal.

But when they navigate to a standard WD ABAP application iView, we see a difference in the look and feel of this WD ABAP application.

In 7.0 portal:

In 7.4 portal:

As evident from above screen shots, there is a difference in the look and feel of the WDA iView. What can this difference be attributed to? How do we make the iView look the same in the 7.4 portal?

Any inputs in this regard would be really helpful for us to proceed.

Regards,

Saurabh

Thanks Lawrence for your response!

We changed the theme for the WD ABAP applications from the default sap_corbu to sap_tradeshow in the back end system by modifying the WDTHEMEROOT parameter in the standard WD component WD_GLOBAL_PARAMETERS and we now get the same look and feel for the WDA screens in the portal.

Sure, you are welcome. You need also to remember, this isnt mentioned in the note, some WDA elements are not covered by the portal theme, since they simple doesnt exists there. So depending on what you are rendering its possible you cant achieve all you want. But for the most things the look and feel will match

cheers
