How to install HANA Optmized BW Content in BW on HANA System

Hi Experts ,

Please suggest hot to activate HANA Optmized BW content in BW on HANA System.

I know that we have to activate Business Function /IMO/BW_CONTENT but i am not able to this in SFW5 so please suggest hot to activate this business function and how to install content later.

Hi All,

I have already activated the Business Function via SFW5 and i am able to see the HANA Optmized BW Objects with the namespace as /IMO but whenever i am trying to install this i am getting a popup for meta data respository.

  Please note i have already replicate and activated the data sources but still i am getting this popup and even by checking the either of the checkbox shown above it comes again and again.

My BW Version is 740 0006 and BI Content version is 757 0001.

Kindly check and suggest.

Hello All,

We have BW7.4 SP12 and planning to upgrade the BW version to BW7.4 SP16.

Issues we have in current version is creating/migrating the BEx queries that are created in 7.4 classical mode to BW Model based BEx Queries in HANA studio.

My queries:

What is BI_Content that is available in the current SAP Market place for BW on HANA

What are the major changes from SP9 BI_Content to SP16 BI_Conent if any?

the two responses by V Srinivasan and Prabhith indeed should helped you to find the switch.

Otherwise please check the BI Content release in your system.

It should be

- For BW 7.30: BI Content 737 Support Package 04 or higher (latest SP 10) or

- For BW 7.31: BI Content 747 Support Package 04 or higher (latest SP 10) or

- For BW 7.40 there are two options:

BI Content 747 Support Package 04 or higher (latest SP 10) or

BI Content 757 Support Package 00 or higher (latest SP 03).

(757 is the innovation release for BI Content demonstrating BW 7.4 functionality)

TCode -->  SFW5

on 'Business Function Set' field

select 'SAP HANA-Optimized Content'

then /IMO/BW_CONTENT is available.
