Dear Experts,
Is it required to have a connection for a user in sap back-end to work the ESS & MSS portal perfectly. Because if the user is not in sap ECC am getting "No switch to HTTPS occurred, so it is not secure to send a password" error like this, and if the user is there in ecc, this error will not appear. please advice.
Hi Philip
Use Service acount to avoid sharing pwd.

Hi,
You should have the same User ID name in both portal and Back end system.
Thanks

Hi Prathish,
Nice to hear from you again.
Hope you are doing good.
To avoid the "No switch to HTTPS occurred, so it is not..." warning messages, please check the following:
Execute transaction code SICF -> navigate to the web dynpro ABAP node from the application you're facing the issue, then: "Error Pages" tab -> "Logon Errors" -> "System Logon" radio button -> "Configuration" button.
In the "Actions During Logon" section, the dropdown box "Protocol" should have value "Logon via HTTPS".
Now, you have a few options to have this solved:
a) Change the protocol to "Do Not Switch"
b) Select "Do Not Display Warnings"
c) Follow SAP Note 510007 to enable the HTTPS
If you are trying to use SSL and you have already configured the system but the error is still occurring, there is a chance that the cookie is not being set for the same domain. Therefore it would not pass to the backend system. To check this, you should create a httpwatch trace.
Thank you!
