Happy Birthday pop-up in EP Portal

Hallo guys

I know how ridiculous this sounds. . . .

I want to create a message (pop-up) in EP Portal that will congratulate you on behalf of the company.

Any ideas on how I would have to go about to achieve this?

We are on NW 7.4

Add a custom UME field containg birth date (dont think its there by default, is it?). After that write an APC doing something like if logged user birthday field = system.date show happy birthday popup. Place it on the startpage, thats it
