Hello All,

We are trying to implement Availability control for cost centers, based on note 101030.

But it is not working, no error or warning messages are raised related to budget.

we are in ECC6, the note talk aboit R/3 but  Isuppose it should apply as well on ECC6.

Did any one already get that issue or request ? any ideas ?

Hi,

Directly Cost Center Budget Availiability Control is not avaliable in SAP, suggested SAP Note delivers a work around:

A) Creating a Statistical Internal Order

B) Assigning Cost Center to the Statistical IO

C) Activate Avaliability Control for the Order

D) Budget Assignment to the IO

E) Book the expenses on IO

Refer SAP Note: 68366

Do revert in case any further details needed.

Hello Jaymin,

Agreed, but this workaround does not work, when we post only on statistical IO, we are getting the standard message KI248: Account requires an assignment to a CO object.

Hi,

Few simple questions:

A) Has the Statistical Check box - Ticked in the Internal Order Master Data?

B) Actual Posted CC - Has the Cost Center assigned in the IO Master?

C) Status of the Order

While booking the cost, book the same on IO.

Thank you Jaymin

A) Has the Statistical Check box - Ticked in the Internal Order Master Data? --> Yes

B) Actual Posted CC - Has the Cost Center assigned in the IO Master? --> Yes in field CC requesting CC (and we added also to  responsible CC)

C) Status of the Order--> "REL  AVAC BUDG"

The cost can be booked if we put a cost center and the stat. IO, but can not be posted only with the stat IO. it give message requestng a real CO object KI248.

Hi

You need to assign the Cost Center under "Control Tab" - Actual Posted Cost Center.

Thank you Jaymin,

That was missing, I just did add taht, this derive automatically the cost center, but still I am able to post higher amount than budget, while IO status is "REL  AVAC BUDG"

Hi,

You need to reconstruct the Avaliability Control. Or else create a fresh Statistical IO / Assign the CC and do the budgeting. Subsequently book the Cost on IO it should work.

Also check the Budget Profile & its assignment to the Order Type plus the Avaliability Control.

Hello Jaymin,

OK found it, I was missing a customizing on

Define Tolerance Limits for Availability Control,

it was only active for purchase orders, while i was posting on FI directly

It can't be weird, the only thing would be that the Order Budget related configuration might have missing parameters.

Also check the Controlling Area Setting - OKKP, Order Management is Active.

A) Budget Profile - Check the Activation Type - Ideally "1"

B) Budget Profile - Check the Overall Value - if required

C) Assignment to Order Type -

E) Tolerance Limits - Check the Activity Group - Ideally "++"

F) Activation - "3" for Error message

G) Enter the Usage percentage - 90
