Can we have ERP & BW HANA db on same server

Hi Experts,

We have a high configuration scalout server in our lab environment and BW on HANA db is already there. Is it possible to install ERP on HANA on same server. Kindly suggest. This are in test environment.

I am thinking that, Yes practically its possible if hardware is capable of enough ram, cpu etc. As per SAP suggestions no, because if we do the same in one box may be we don’t see the real magic of HANA. Again OLAP(BW) system preferred, scale-out server whereas OLTP (ERP on HANA) preferred standalone box. But we can install both in one system for testing purpose.

Hello Jituda,

As of now, I believe you can do it only for non-productive appliances. SAP Note 1661202 - Support for multiple applications on SAP HANA - explains this scenario.

Only applications in the 'white list' contained in the same note are allowed to run together in the same HANA productive appliance. Needless to say this Note is updated regularly and this list is growing.
