Web UI Business Partner name formatting: Lastname / Firstname / Nickname

Hi all,

we are setting up newest version of SAP CRM SSF for HR. Business Partner data has been replicated from HCM using ALE.

Is there any possibility in customizing to change the way the Business Partner names are displayed in fields (e.g. Service Request Header or Inbox)? As of now, names are displayed with firstname / lastname. For us lastname / firstname / nickname is more useful.

Update: I just found out that the BP display is influenced by field "Special Format" in the BP "Address" tab. Since we replaced employees via ALE, how do be influence which format is filled?

Any help is very much appreciated.

Hello Stefan,

You could change the display of the name in the GET-method.By standard it takes the BOL-attribute DESCRIPTION_NAME but you could also access more details of the business partner via BOL (maybe relation BTPartnerAddress) and build your own name with lastname, firstname, nickname or whatever (you would also have middle name, birthname, ...).
