SAP SM Demo interface partly visible

Dear Collegues,

Our company wanted to create a demonstration based on SAP sample model. While following the configuration guide (https://websmp110.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700000650612011E), we arrived at such result, e.g.,  partly visible interface. Has anybody experienced the same issue? Or have an idea what could have gone wrong?

The screen you show is not the main SSM screen. Rather it is a briefing book. In SSM you create a briefing book as a collection of screen shots from regular SSM views. If you are new to the product it is possible you may have done one of two things:

• opened an pre-existing empty briefing book
• created your own briefing book but then not added any content

The briefing book reports there are 24 KPIs so it appears your SSM is at least partly working. Possible problems include:

• the security roles not correctly set up and so no data being displayed.
• incorrect dates being set (e.g. current date)  and so the query runs for a recent date with no data rather than an older date for which the demo data exists.

In my case the reason for this error was that during installation roles were not correctly set up and so no data being displayed, just like you said.
