Hi experts

I have an issue,

I am using the scenario MTO, maintaining strategy 82, Procurement type F, and Special procurement 30, I have created PIR (MD61)

When MPS runs (MD41):

It automatically creates customer orders to PIR

For sales orders creates customer orders and production orders

But, Why is it creating production orders?

Strategy 82 is not a make-to-order strategy, but an assembly-to-order (ATO) strategy. On this kind of strategy the production order is created automatically by the sales order and there is a direct link between the sales order and the production order. The following link provides more details about ATO:

If you want to create a MTO sales order, you should use strategy 20 instead of 82. See the following link for more details about strategy 20:
