GLM Label History ?

Hello Experts,

Out customer is looking to retain GLM label versions in a repository for future reference which were printed at the part of Transaction data such as Product label in shipping . Some time past version of label is required for any Dispute. I was wondering how to store the labels in SAP and reference back to Particular date and Product.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Dear Garghi

depending on the set up of SAP EHS GLM you will need a raw report which is printed often. But for some lables the "on the fly technique"! is better. In the first case the raw report is always "there"; only the parameter symbol data not; in the second case nothing is there.

But there is a logging architecture implemented in GLM; as well your topic has been discussed in other threads; check e.g.

So depending on the case the label need not to be stored "physically" in the database but the data retrieved for the label are stored. The architecture of GLM is here different in comparison to MSDS set up (and distrbution approach)

Hello Gargi,

In Addition to CB's Comment The solution of Logging works for  releases EHP3 and greater. Once the correct configuration is Performed you should be able to retrived the data.
