Dear All,
In case if the recipient email address is wrong, then SOST should show in RED but SOST status is showing as GREEN. Are there any specific settings for the same to have the status as RED in case of wrong email address?
Thanks
I Agree with srikrishnan, the email address verification is done at exchange not in SAP application

Hi,
The actual validity of e-mail address is checked at the mail exchange server level.
SOST contacts the SMTP server for the actual verification and transfer.
SCOT settings can only control which e-mail IDs (even with wildcards to include domain names) are
allowed for sending out a mail from the SAP system. Scot system status view -> SMTP node settings -> Internet supported address types -> Set address area.
Consider the supported address type is *@xyz.com. Then even if an mail-id like abc@xyz.com does not actually exist, but SAP will nevertheless send the message to the mail exchange server which then verifies the mail address.
Regards,
Srikishan
