Sap compatibility with Internet Explorer 11 (IE11)

Hello Experts,

Our company is planning to move from IE9 to IE 11. We are now looking for any compatibility issues of SAP with IE11.

In case any of you already use IE11 for your SAP environment, your inputs would help us to find answers for below questions -

1) Are there any known issues, can we run sap portal applications in IE11 without problem?

2) Any issues observed with IE 11 especially for portal applications?

3) We have SAP GUI 730, do you know if there are known issues with IE11?

4) Is there is a chance to use the compatibility mode in IE11 to run SAP applications? is this supported by SAP? in JAVA and ABAP systems?

Hi Ambarish,

You should start with the central note for IE and it's releae note for IE11

1672817 - Browser: SAP Internet Explorer Support - Central Note

Now, if there are know issues, the fixes should be available though notes/KBAs.

If it's new, we need to address/report this to SAP.

Hi Ambarish,

I have gone through this scenario,

To use EP on IE11 we had to upgrade the SP acc to PAM.

After upgrading WD ABAP Apps were working fine on IE11 but WD java apps ( UWL etc) were not picking up the custom theme.
